Merchant shows a QR
The customer scans a receipt code displayed by the POS. No signup is required at the checkout.
Digital receipt infrastructure
Bonweg connects POS and payment systems with the places customers actually want their receipts to go — without forcing every merchant to build another proprietary receipt ecosystem.
Built around the expected move toward electronic receipt availability in Germany from 2028. Final legal and technical requirements may still change.
The idea
Today, digital receipt delivery is fragmented across retailer apps, receipt pages and proprietary systems. Bonweg is a neutral routing layer between the checkout and the customer's chosen destination.
How it works
The customer scans a receipt code displayed by the POS. No signup is required at the checkout.
The POS scans a short-lived routing code and associates the receipt with the customer's selected destination.
Personal inbox, accounting, expense app, wallet or your own front end — one integration can serve them all.
Designed for real checkouts
Receipt delivery should sit beside the payment flow, not block it. Capture what can be captured locally, queue what needs syncing, and let the checkout continue.
For product & engineering teams
We are shaping Bonweg with POS, PSP and retail-tech teams. The goal is intentionally boring infrastructure: easy to evaluate, easy to integrate and reliable in production.

We are looking for design partners
If you work on a POS, PSP or retail platform, we want to understand what you are building, what concerns you, and what you would rather not build yourself.
